Bernadette Peters

 Bernadette (nee Lazzara) Peters is an American actor and singer. In her career, which spans more than six decades, she has performed in musical theatre, television , and film, performed in concert performances as a solo artist and released recordings. She is a highly-acclaimed Broadway actor. She has received seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award) along with nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Grammy Awards were won for four of her Broadway parts.



 



 Many believe Peters as the top Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is especially well-known for her performances on Broadway including Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009) and Hello, Dolly (2018).
